A friend once told me that talented people tend to find each other. Having first made her name on the open mike circuit at the age of 17, Singer, songwriter Andreya Triana was signed to Ninja Tune just a few years after. Having had the honor of working with a host of phenomenal artists like Bonobo and Flying lotus from as far back as 2007 she continues to impress and amaze. The fantastic retro-soul album ‘Lost where I belong’ has been a standard on my list of repeats for a few years now.
Her new single, “song for a friend” is a beautifully soft and mature song. Taking time to build into itself, you can see how she has grown into her sound over the years. There have been rumours of an album release later this year. Fingers crossed!
